Walker, Luetge, Pryor, Nunez, Wilhelmsen and Capps are all scheduled to follow Garland.

Garland if he shows anything will make the club.

Locally the M's are on Root Sports TV @ Noon and I believe delayed one hour on MLB network.

One last note: "The Cactus League Report" can be heard on 710 ESPN at 7. Guests scheduled to appear are Carl Willis, Tom Wilhelmsen, Mike Zunino, Casper Wells, Stephen Pryor and Larry Stone.

That's what I thought the other day and they still hit two homers and scored 9.

Other than the walk, I was pretty happy with Garland there in the first inning. Getting three groundball outs will do that to me :)

very nice bottom half of the inning by the M's. I like how they were able to work the pitcher and string together some hits to plate a couple of runs. It was nice to see both Wells and Thames coming through with the two-out hits.

Garland not entirely sharp, but able to close out the top of the second while stranding a runner at 3rd. Threw some solid pitches and some clunkers in the inning. The double he gave up was off of a good pitch to a guy who knows how to hit.

Triunfel parachutes a ball into left for a single, but nothing else happened as the M's went quietly in the second.

Taijuan Walker in to pitch the top of the third. 3 up, 3 down easy-peasy. The last batter did get some good wood on the ball (although he did not get around on the FB), but it was right at Casper wells.

Walker wasn't quite as good in the 4th.
Adopt-a-Players:
Eric Thames - What? Are we waiting for him to become LESS patient at the plate?
2013 AAA: .298/.390/.496/.887 5 HR 20 RBI

Forrest Snow - Things look rather Stark for the bastard of the north. Winter is coming.
2013 AA: 1-4, 3.86 ERA, 23 K, 5 BB, 1.095 WHIP
2012 AAA/AA: 5-9, 6.35 ERA, 99K, 67 BB, 1.674 WHIP

Gone But Not Forgotten (former adopt-a-players):
Matt Mangini - Signed a minor league contract with the Reds in the off season, but appears to have been handed his walking papers.
Mike Morse - HEY! Look who's back!!!!!
Jamal Strong - Let go after 2005. Played in the Yankees, Cubs and Braves systems. Now a regional scout for the Cards.

Any excuse now to start Walker and Hultzen in Tacoma. How long now before they start sending players to the minor league camp?

Would they start sending guys down before players return from the WBC?

Walker was making his own case for being sent down in the 4th.
1st pitch homer
strike out
walk
single to right
single to right
single to right
walk
walk
grounder to get out of the inning.

Wells heard from again with a bases loaded triple. Maybe he does want to make the team.

I'm hoping the M's can do some damage against Miguel "Smooth Jazz" Batista.

I'm surprised he's still playing. I thought he was on his last legs when he was with us.

Sorry, I was on the phone...

Nice to see the M's take advantage of pitching mistakes and sub-standard pitcher in general.
