That was doggone thoughtful of the M's to put up their massive offensive night right before an off day. We might as well bask in it an extra 24 hours.

They just finished their 20th straight, playing 36 games in 37 days (23 on the road). I'm thinking the key is fatigue. Here's hoping they don't rest too much in ChiTown today :)

to add to your note, when the M's come on for a series vs the Dodgers on June 8th, they will have played 37 road games and 22 home games. Their home for six and their back out on a three team, nine game west coast swing. They come back home for six more vs two teams on June 18th and then it's back on the road for ten more games ! They come home for three vs Oakland before the all star break. No rest for the weary.

M's schedule 2012

Go look at that schedule again Senior.

The M's finish up this road trip, travelling from Dallas to Chicago then to Los Angeles. They get to stay at home for 9 games against three teams, then off on the road for six games against two teams (Arizona and San Diego - nice proximity this time!) then back home for a 10 game stretch.
Adopt-a-Players:
Eric Thames - What? Are we waiting for him to become LESS patient at the plate?
2013 AAA: .298/.390/.496/.887 5 HR 20 RBI

Forrest Snow - Things look rather Stark for the bastard of the north. Winter is coming.
2013 AA: 1-4, 3.86 ERA, 23 K, 5 BB, 1.095 WHIP
2012 AAA/AA: 5-9, 6.35 ERA, 99K, 67 BB, 1.674 WHIP

Gone But Not Forgotten (former adopt-a-players):
Matt Mangini - Signed a minor league contract with the Reds in the off season, but appears to have been handed his walking papers.
Mike Morse - HEY! Look who's back!!!!!
Jamal Strong - Let go after 2005. Played in the Yankees, Cubs and Braves systems. Now a regional scout for the Cards.

My point being, that the M's have played about 14 more games on the road vs home and this will continue until after the break.
