all-in-all, the M's have played the Rangers pretty tough.
3-5 overall but they've been in every game except one and have only been out-scored for the season series 31-26 (the R's just out-scored the Jays by 18 runs in one series)

They won't be boring to watch in the next month or so. I enjoy watching them. I keep pulling for all the kids to turn the corner. I really feel they will. I have mentioned that the M's have put 31,000+ miles of travel up already this season? These kids are tired. It takes vets to help get thru this sort of thing and the M's don't have productive vets to lead the way. It's going to take a little extra time for the kids to settle in.

Oh, by the way. Who here doesn't think Luetge needs to pitch more and maybe Delebar needs to be in Tacoma figuring out a 2nd pitch?

Couldn't disagree more.
just off the top of my head...
~Felix, whether he's going good, or it's May, is NEVER boring
~Brendan Ryan's ballet at short is NEVER boring
~Montero going the other way (and his twinkle-toes running) is NEVER boring
~the Carolina kids are NEVER boring (wheter at the plate or in the field)
~the bullpen is NEVER boring (although this is not necessarily a GOOD thing ;) )

With all due respect Lisa, we'll have to agree to disagree then. :D

Not saying that they have to score 9 runs a game to be exciting but this 0-2 runs, 4 or 5 hits a game crap is boring.
This team cannot hang with the big bopper teams (that can hit homeruns at will) over the longterm. "Moral victorys" do nothing for me, they just don't.

Wow. I went to check Delebar's splits figuring he was ok in April and bad in May. His splits run 0.79 era at home and a 9.00 era on the road. I know it's a small sample. It's really only 3 games that kill his stats. 1 run in NY, 3 in Cleveland and 3 in Texas.

Does anyone remember if the Mariners have a pitcher named Iwakuma? He pitched in 2 games in April and 2 in May. Luetge pitched 2 games in April and 8 in May. Delebar pitched in 11 games in April and 13 in May. Kelley has pitched in 9 games since he's returned. Maybe Iwakuma can get those pictures from Bloomquist when they play the D-Backs next month.

Yes, Ryan is fun to watch at SS, but what's up with trying to force a triple into a inside-the-park-home-run ? Cardinal Rule Broken: Never make the first or third out of the inning at third, particularly if you are down by two runs. I enjoy his intensity but this is way past gung ho all the way to stupid.

The M's beat Feldman last time (05/23/2012 @SEA, 4.66, 4.1 inn, 3 H, 5 ER, 5 BB, 1 K). Perhaps we can build the pitch count and Vargas will be big tonight. We just need everything to click. When the pitching is good, either the errors or the offense gets us. When the offense is good, the bullpen gets us, and so on.

Going back to League's last blown save, where he air mailed the infielder on a force play. Question: when a pitcher makes an error should it be an earned run or unearned ?

I hate stupid runs like that! They somehow manage to get them to score while we give them outs in the basepaths

A two run home run by Jaso <sigh> How boring? For sheer enjoyment, let's watch the replay of our future HOFers first at bat. Nothing better than a full swing that almost makes it halfway to first base.... all I can say is "WOW".

Yeah so Ichiro isn't allowed to ground out? The anti Ichiro retorhic is getting ridiculous.

You can say all you want about Ichiro's declining hitting skills, but nobody can deny that he's still a stellar RF

Sometimes I will take a lucky break....like a Beltre throwing error ti score a few runs.
Vinnie Catricala...my man and former UofH Warrior and former offensive AL MVP of his rookie league club.

Tearing up at the plate in 2011!!

Had so much fun watching him while he was here in Hawaii!
