Now the offense decides to explode? Couldn't they score with a little bit more consistency?

At this point, I'll take it where I can get it. This game has actually been fun to watch. Felix has been lights out.

I was kind of hoping that Wedge would let Felix go back out there for the 9th to try for the CG shutout. Oh well.

No one doc everything GMZ has done has been golden. I'm never going to question him again. What was I thinking.

Chone Figgins? And the second things is not trading or cutting Figgins immediately after the blowup with Wakamatsu.

Nice game. Seager is awesome!

Let's have a good game today M's!!

Wish I could watch it.
Boooooo! Although the Cat had a few bad years, I am sad to see him go to the hated A's of Oakland.

Searching for a new adopt-a-player will be tough. Seems like all the other kids I like have found great adopt-a parents.

Bullpen is going to get a workout today. Noesi has thrown 51 pitches through 3.
You can't sit on a lead and run a few plays into the line and just kill the clock. You've got to throw the ball over the goddamn plate and give the other man his chance. That's why baseball is the greatest game of them all. ~Earl Weaver

He has had a few 10+ pitch at bats.......

But hey....we are winning and their pitcher is up to 53 with only 1 out....so we will get to their B.P. quickly too!

Just hope ours holds up.

Bases loaded with one out for Smoak. Can he deliver, or does the slump continue?
Adopt-a-Players:
Eric Thames - What? Are we waiting for him to become LESS patient at the plate?
2013 AAA: .298/.390/.496/.887 5 HR 20 RBI

Forrest Snow - Things look rather Stark for the bastard of the north. Winter is coming.
2013 AA: 1-4, 3.86 ERA, 23 K, 5 BB, 1.095 WHIP
2012 AAA/AA: 5-9, 6.35 ERA, 99K, 67 BB, 1.674 WHIP

Gone But Not Forgotten (former adopt-a-players):
Matt Mangini - Signed a minor league contract with the Reds in the off season, but appears to have been handed his walking papers.
Mike Morse - HEY! Look who's back!!!!!
Jamal Strong - Let go after 2005. Played in the Yankees, Cubs and Braves systems. Now a regional scout for the Cards.

OK....time for Smoak to get sent down or get more days off.......this is ridiculous......he can't even put one in the outfield on a fly ball for a sac-fly. Bases loaded and he can't even get a stinking run in. Posted Image

Bases loaded with one out and we don't score a bloody run.

Back to regular M's baseball.....

If Noesi can ever harness hif stuff, he'll be pretty good. Pretty big if but his stuff is generally pretty nasty.

The announcers did bring up a good point today . . . what Bob Seger song do we use as a nickname of Kyle Seager? I like Kyle "Night Moves" Seager, but I wouldn't be opposed to Kyle "Like a Rock" Seager.
