I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired.

1-3. We couldn't use the momentum from sweeping the tigers help us. No way we win this series. I hope for a split but 1-3 is more than likely. They've already down better on the road trip then I gave them credit for. So we'll see how this goes. Tampa Bay's roatation is good and deep so I won't be surprised to see two or three shut outs this series. If we score more than 5 runs this series it'll be great. I expect to see a couple of 1-0 2-0 3-1 type of games this series and I don't see us being able to come out on top. However, a 1-3 record means that we're 5-5 on the road toad while not bad It'd be nice to come out ahead on this road trip.

Yes, it does, but after going 4-0, 5-5 doesn't seem so good. Either way, it makes up for the disgrace we suffered at home to the Indians and White Sox.

Well, for all the folks who wanted to see Jaso behind the dish will get to do so sometime soon.

It looks like he'll be the primary catcher, as the Mariners are taking Carp off the DL as soon as he gets to Florida. Wedge was vindicated for starting Olivo so much with recent production, but he also has to regret that if he'd started Jaso more, then he wouldn't be in the spot he's in now. He's now down to three catchers with MLB experience in his organization. What I mean is Quiroz is all the depth he has left. I don't see any other catchers close to MLB ready. Jaso goes from never starting at catcher to the primary spot, so let's hope he's been busy staying ready and learning the pitchers.

Liddi batting 2nd wow.

I never saw that one coming, but it makes sense in this situation. I would like to see Kawasaki starting more at shortstop, but he also works well as a pinch runner, defensive replacement.

This 'Scout' on gameday is a seriously annoying addition.

Even more annoying: 5 hits and only one run (on a solo shot). LOBs all over the place...

Well, that's twice Montero with conservative base running. First on his long single further DP, and then in the wild pitch not advancing and then not scoring on the Seager blooper.

You're more positive than most, Shaggy, but not every post of yours is sweetness and light. Let's not throw stones, eh?

8 hits in 6 innings to log one run is a legit reason to gripe, especially when that's been the pattern the last few ballgames.

Wasting yet another good pitching performance (from Noesi no less!) Hopefully the bats can come alive in the later innings.

I know things look the same as previous years but my goodness, the unrelenting negativity around here has become depressing. BTW, my stones are still intact, I'm just throwing rocks.

I have been thinking of the fish... BBQ'd, smoked, grilled and baked. Yummm, fishing is a good idea about now. Time to tie some flies.

So, how do fishies respond to constant negativity? Does it affect their spawning behavior? Can the M's poor performance be partially to blame for collapsing populations? If so, who do we blame: Howard Lincoln's miserly incompetence or Ichiro's selfishness?

It's simple. Fish dive. Ichiro doesn't.

As a fisheries biologist, maybe 6-pak can advise Carp how to get his swing back on track. Maybe the ph isn't balanced in the clubhouse Gatorade? Or do we need a fisheries chemist for that?
That's spelled: Zduriencik
