Felix pitches another great game. Felix once again does not get the win. :(

Eric Thames - What? Are we waiting for him to become LESS patient at the plate?
2013 AAA: .298/.390/.496/.887 5 HR 20 RBI

Forrest Snow - Things look rather Stark for the bastard of the north. Winter is coming.
2013 AA: 1-4, 3.86 ERA, 23 K, 5 BB, 1.095 WHIP
2012 AAA/AA: 5-9, 6.35 ERA, 99K, 67 BB, 1.674 WHIP

Gone But Not Forgotten (former adopt-a-players):
Matt Mangini - Signed a minor league contract with the Reds in the off season, but appears to have been handed his walking papers.
Mike Morse - HEY! Look who's back!!!!!
Jamal Strong - Let go after 2005. Played in the Yankees, Cubs and Braves systems. Now a regional scout for the Cards.

Bunting was about as dumb as it gets there. SAC FLY.

No kidding. Big vote of confidence. The guy hits a grand slam to win a game and you make him bunt.

...Tonights game vs Hellickson will be the closest of the set. Felix shuts down the Rays but the M's score a few runs on solo homers.

Um... :whistling:

2nd bad call the home plate ump has made tonight.

Regardless, great way to waste another game, M's. Thanks, League.

Dang! 3-2 Rays.

You have to love the Figgins arm in left. Wedge needs to take it for this one. Saunders bunting with one out and a guy on 3rd.

Wedge should take it for a good number of our losses this year.

League should be forbidden to pitch in Félix's games.

Oh, and we can't fire Wedge soon enough. And Figgins, and Ryan, and Olivo, and...

This one is on Wedge for a) bunting Saunders, and B) letting League pitch a second frame when he clearly didn't have it.

League had already blown the save.

There were plenty of letfies due up...

They were all hitting the ball pretty well against him...

Either Wedge is an idiot.... or perahps a stupid!

This one is on the offense (or lack thereof) since it never should have been this close to begin with.
Secondarily it's on League (usually ON but not pretty when he's not - he's a closer, even happens to Mo occasionally)

It's NOT on Wedge. Saunders bunted on his own and, according to Wedge, has already been talked to about it.

Didn't know about the Saunders bunt, thanks.

But with Pena coming up and Leutge ready to go in the pen - and League going ball one to every batter, I was yelling at my radio for Wedge to make the switch. Seemed the obvious thing to do.

Re: the offense, getting 10 hits to score 1 run is indeed getting really old really fast. ;-)

it was 11 hits and 2 runs (unless you weren't counting "extries") but, yeah solo shots and singles won't get it done on any regular basis.
Though, while commiserating a bit on LoHud (the Yank fans were rooting for the M's and Montero - for the most part) they basically said ain't no shame losing to Hellickson.

?

I thought I saw somewhere else that Seager was playing short, Jason was catching, and Montero was the DH. Damn, I liked that lineup a lot better!

That was garbonzo's "wonder if Wedge would ever" lineup from the Olivo/Figgins playing time thread.

Damn, I saw the lineup and didn't pay attention to anything else. I saw that and immediately started to do some internal speculation if that would have been the youngest lineup ever put out by the Mariners.
