Am I the only person in the world that when I read Tacoma Rainiers I sometimes see "Taco Marariners"?

Put your odd observations on life in this thread. This should be interesting...

LOL

My buddy is really into pronouncing and saying words backwards. It's an obsession really, but it's fun. His rule is, that if you are the person who first says a name or word backwards that you can say it or pronounce it anyway you want. For example, during the Nagano Winter Games, he would Say Onagan or as he put it "on-again !"

Yakima had a CBA basketball team called the Sun Kings. While typing it out one time, I didn't leave a space and it produced the Sunkings. After seeing them play, it was appropriate.

Every single time I ever tried to type in the name "Carlos Silva" my fingers typed Carlos Sliva. Every. Single. Time. I would catch it most of the time but there are plenty of posts from me hating on Sliva on this board.

Okay, I'll admit this one is bad and it happens to be an individual on this site. For some reason when I saw the name xarmyguy78, I read it as Smarmy guy. At first I thought it was probably a troll. It wasn't until the other day that I realized it was Ex-Army-Guy. I just thought to myself... "duh!"

Sorry about that xarmyguy78. Your post have always been cool.

Sometimes I find myself either thinking about or typing the name Bill Bavasi. Then I imagine lighting myself on fire.

And every time I read "Vidro" I think "Mr. Baseball vs. Sabermatt"!

Ok now here's one - and this is a true confession! - "Something is brewing in Marinerland" registers as "Someone is screwing in Marinerland".

Am I the only one?

Sweetheart: No darling, there must be others...

Sancho: :)

Sweetheart:...they're just not stupid enough to openly admit it.

Sancho: :annoyed:

These revolting revelations brought to you by Sancho on a slow day at MC.

For me ... it's initials.

Jack Cust = JC = (the expletive I utter when he whiffs)

Brendan Ryan = BR = BR-549 (a Hee Haw reference) - and his likely final OPS this year.

Adam Kennedy = AK = AK-47 (the number of SacHits he has for his career - he needs one more SF to reach 47 there, too).

Justin Vargas = JV = (do I really have to explain this one?)

Josh Lueke = JL = Jail = (or this one?)

Some times I get the urge to car jack and pistol whip people. Do you think I should seek a councilor?

Nah. Councilors are good people. If you're going to car jack and pistol whip someone, try a lawyer instead. Maybe an investment banker.

I had a dream last night that I was at the cash machine trying to get money out and having a bad time trying to get it done. The man and woman behind me were complaining with the woman behind them and suddening the hear Shannon Drayer reporting on the cash machine and breaking it all down SABR style. A real in depth report. She even defended me and listed all the possible things that could go wrong (lack of dough was one !) while working the machine.
