will the heat get to the rangers again this year ? five games back is not much when you consider the weather that they must face. mid 90 averages during the day and game time starts near 90 for june, july and august. night time lows in the mid to upper 70's.

the rangers are pounding the ball now, but will they run out of gas as m's fans have watch so many seasons before ?

we shall see.

Vicente Padilla, a former All-Star who the Rangers designated for assignment Friday(August 7) despite an 8-6 record in 18 starts. The Rangers said the decision to part ways with Padilla, who won at least 14 games in two of the last four seasons, was the culmination of several factors, including the fact the pitcher was often late or absent from meetings and other team events. He also angered teammates by throwing at opposing hitters, leading to Rangers batters being hit in retaliation.

It was a pleasure for me to watch Josh Hamilton back in the Rangers lineup hitting again like nothing happened in the last month. I do not care so much if he's will be named MVP or not but I'm happy for him anyway. You know, today it's obscure times to forgive and give a second chance to young players who go into the wrong direction and make mistakes early. Thus when I see somebody like him to battle for years against all odds and finally reaching his potential... oh man, what a pleasure to discover how all the ******* moralists were wrong !
