No Yankees, even though we had to endure Big Papi talking to A-Rod. Pee Wee, Jackie and The Duke are not in the lineup for the Dodgers' but Chris Taylor is. My pick Astros!

I really don't care who wins it, as long as it is not #28 I'm happy.

Seattle Mariners, playing lousy baseball for 16 years in a row (and counting)...

My vote went to thank God the Yankees didn't make it. Now that I can watch the world series my hope is for a solid, competitive 7 game series. I'm at peace with either of these teams winning it all. Very glad it's anybody but the Yankees!

Life of Lazy reporters.

"Well, that '78 Dodger club won the first two games of that WS but we're swept four straight by the Yankees."

Sigh

Crazy good game last night! Ran a bit late but it was fun!

Do you guys think the baseball is juiced? Insane that it's home runs or nothing so far.

More likely just random variation (it was a pretty low scoring in game 1) above anything else. The biggest contributing factor would be the heat, though.

AAPs:

Herschel Mack Just call me 'Boog' Powell IV has just been promoted to The Show for the first time and is hoping to stick around for a couple dozen years or so.

Joe Snake Eyes Wieland has been a mid-K, super-low-BB, Groundball machine in the minors and has a ~90 mph FB.  With his potential for masterful zone control, he's looking like the textbook Dipoto-type SP.

Gone, but not forgotten AAPs:
Nick Franklin

Brad Miller

Roenis Elias

Something horrible happened to Franklin and Elias.  Franklin was as sexy a blue-chipper as the M's have seen in a while, but it never materialized.  Elias was a bulldog with lots of Moxy, but fell off.  Miller, after looking like he'll never stick at SS or learn the OF, is forcing the Rays to play him somewhere because of his bat.

Before the season, Houston removed Tal's hill and brought the CF fence in from 436 to 409 feet.

"Yasiel Puig is having trouble finding hair care products in Houston. He's in the lineup today with broken fingernail. Back to the booth!"

John, the whole season comes down to this; best two of three. All the work since Spring Training."

Jack, it's too bad one team has to lose."

Congratulations to the Houston Altuve's. Powered by the G spring they pulled out the championship. Well played sir's.

In all seriousness, Congratulations to the Houston Astros organization and the city of Houston. They were clearly one of the best teams in baseball for the entire 2017 campaign.

Yes congratulations!

The Dodgers' made poor choices IMHO. I thought they owed it to a player like Hill to leave him in there. Likewise, Darvish should have rode pine and let the future HOFer Kershaw start game #7.

If this is the future of baseball, I don't want it.
